DEMETER

Demeter is from Greek mythology and was the Goddess of the Harvest and the mother of Persephone who was kidnapped by Hades. Demeter endlessly searched for her daughter, preoccupied with loss and grief. The seasons halted and living things stopped growing and died until Zeus intervened. I've depicted the trees starting to change colors as the grief envelopes her.
